Version of 16 October 2026
This notice explains what personal data DemystifAI collects, why, and what you can ask of us, under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
Who is responsible
Data controller: DemystifAI, a meetup run privately in Lausanne. Contact: hello@demystifai.ch.
What we collect
- "Share my story" form: name, company, email and what you tried with AI.
- Sponsor form: name, company, email, and if you give them, phone, website, type of support and message.
- Check-in form at our meetups: name, company, role, email, how you use AI today, how you heard about DemystifAI, and if you choose, your request for a free clinic.
- Clinic booking: if you book a slot, your name, email and the time you choose.
- Ticket bookings: when you book, Luma, our booking service, shares your name and your answers to the booking questions with us.
Why
- To run the meetups and reply to you about your story or your offer of support.
- To understand who comes, and shape future editions around your level and your questions.
- Only if you agree (a separate box, never pre-ticked): to offer you a free 30-minute clinic, in person in Lausanne or by call, to talk through your AI project. It's available to the first 5 requests per meetup. The organisers also offer paid support, and we may tell you about it if it fits what you need.
Without your agreement, we don't use your data to offer you our services. We don't sell your data or pass it to sponsors.
Where it's stored
Forms are saved directly to a Google Sheets spreadsheet shared between the organisers (Google, with servers that may be outside Switzerland) and sent by email. Clinics are booked through Calendly (United States). Our host, Cloudflare (United States), logs technical connection data, such as IP addresses, to run and secure the site.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for at most 24 months after your last contact with us, then delete it. If you withdraw your agreement, we stop contacting you straight away.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses no cookies and loads no third-party tracking. Fonts are hosted on our own site.
Ticketing
Bookings and payments are handled on Luma (luma.com), which processes your data under its own privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your agreement, by writing to hello@demystifai.ch. You can also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
